127TECH was founded in 2006 and continues to grow it's Glen Allen based business.  We have clients ranging from an Attorney working from his home office to Coca-Cola, GE and Capital One. 

We focus on specialized technology and provide service in normal English. 

Our Philosophy

 The IT industry is very crowded.  We are very aware of the competition – from the guy down the street with a “PC Repairs” sign hanging from his mailbox to the Geek Squad at Best Buy.
Technology is emotional. When a client is hurting because they have a computer problem that impacts us. Clients can easily take their business elsewhere, but they may receive the “Jiffy Lube” approach. If our clients aren’t successful, then we’re not successful.
Our goal is to have our services pay for themselves in savings elsewhere for the client.

 

What does 127TECH Stand For?

In computer-speak, 127.0.0.1 is the home address for your computer. It is usually reserved as a diagnostic-testing term for technicians, but Garth Callaghan thought it would make a catchy business name.

Our History

Within the first few months of business, 127TECH landed several large-scale contracts with companies that were relocating their offices and needed their computer networks reconnected.
“They needed some muscle to get their PCs reconnected,” Callaghan says. He quickly hired 40 independent contractors to help on these projects. Looking forward, a major focus of the business will be to continue to find similar contracts with companies that are moving their offices.
“We know what our core competencies are and try not to venture outside of them,” he states. They are quick to either find a contractor or refer clients to another firm. Likewise, 127TECH is not trying to sell them the farm. 127TECH will meet with clients, understand their goals and make recommendations accordingly.
In some cases, upgrading computer networks costs more than purchasing a new system. Not in the business of selling computer hardware, 127TECH surprises many clients when it recommends that they buy a new computer, rather than paying them to upgrade it. “As long as we do the right thing for our clients, we will always have people to do business with us.”
